ECATS Support for NCAPCS Members Only

Public Consulting Group (PCG) is the statewide vendor for ECATS (Special Education Case Management, Medicaid Documentation, and MTSS). PCG has additional planning and management tools to complement the ECATS platform for such things as Section 504, ELL, and more. Would this be something you'd be interested in? They charge a set-up fee of $1500 per module and approximately $10 per 504/ELL/AIG student. Legislative Update from EQV Strategic May 2022

Utilities Oversight

A new Durham charter school is getting a second chance to open after state lawmakers required municipalities to provide water and sewer service to these non-traditional public schools. The State Board of Education approved a request Thursday from North Oak Academy to delay its opening by another year to 2023 as it tries to resolve a lawsuit with the city of Durham over access to utilities.

 ASCD is offering a free virtual professional learning opportunity.  ASCD has been partnering with AT&T to sponsor professional learning within schools around the country. The House Select Committee on An Education System for North Carolina's Future held a Public Hearing on Monday, March 7, 2022 at  South Asheboro Middle School. In addition to the superintendent's from Randolph County Schools and Asheboro City Schools, Dr. Sharon Castelli, Superintendent of Uwharrie Charter Academy, gave a presentation on the future of NC education. KLR Partners-EWIF

KLR Partners is offering editing and coaching services to NCAPCS members for the Educational Workforce Innovation Fund Grant (EWIF). This grant will be released September 1, 2022 and will be due October 31, 2022. The grant seeks to identify successful innovative programs that will lead to more students graduating career and college ready, and it focuses on five core areas:
  1. Align public schools with business and industry and colleges/universities.
  2. Provide greater choice for parents/guardians among high quality education options.
  3.  Enhance teacher and principal effectiveness.
  4. Ensure all students possess job-ready skills.
  5. Leverage technology to drive both student and teacher learning.
If you are interested in pursuing this grant but don't have the time to complete it, consider partnering with KLR PartnersKaty Ridnouer, a certified grant writer and veteran educator, will work with you and your team to develop a complete, compliant, and compelling application. This would include upto five (5) hours of strategic planning, advising, editing, and revising. The cost is $875.
